Happy Father's day from Goslar!

I woke up at around 8, and we had a pretty good breakfast. We then went to Johanniskirche for the Protestant service. The student teacher for english class, Lee, I don't remember mentioning him, but he is from North Carolina, and is getting his masters here. The service was dedicated to him, because I think he leaving this week. They made up a really funny song about him, and all the stuff he did here. I understood almost all of the service. We then went to go to Goslar to see those Silver Mines I told you about. We saw the miner's showers, break room, and changing room, and then went down into the mine. It was freezing, dripping water, and really low ceilings. We learned about the history of the mine, and saw the water wheels which powered everything inside the mine. We walked (climbed really) up 191 stairs I think to get to the light. We walked around and saw a few museums (I took alot of picutres) And went back home. I slept again, Rathausfest kicked me. We then ate some strawberry cheesecake. We watched the news and Barbara showed me some family photos. We then went to go pick up the pizza. We were having Tuna fish Pizza, yeah, I know it sounds wierd, and it probably is, but it was really good. We then watched the Portugal game, and later the Turkey, Czech Republic game, Turkey won 3-1, in a complete landslide. I had another beer and then went to bed. It's about dinner time at home, but it's midnight now, so I'm going to sleep.

Preston,

What an exciting week-end you have had. Reading all about everything
you have done today was so interesting. You probably liked
the pizza since you love fish anyway
but that would not have been for me.
Hope that you have a great Monday
and a good last week.
Have you thought about being a writer? I know that I would buy your
books and I don't even live to read
but you make everything so interesting.

Love you,

Poppa

Preston: I'm with Poppa!! Your ability to write in an interesting and informative way is the most important thing I have learned about Preston. This is also a major difference between those who get ahead in the business world and those that do not. Keep having fun! Pa & MeMe

Hey Preston!

We are counting down the days until we pick you up! Riley is very busy with her play. Opening night is Tuesday. She is very excited and we watched the dress rehearsal last night- it was really cute!

Riley and Amelia got major hair cuts last week. 3 inches for Amelia and 7 for Riley! They both wanted to send you a picture.

We all miss you so very much. I can't wait to see you and hear more about your trip. Thanks so much for the thoughtful blog updates. It really has helped me and Dad feel in touch while you are away.

Take Care and let us know how you are soon. Check your yahoo email account. Riley has sent you some messages.

Much love to my favorite son-
Mom

Preston,

It has been so quiet at the house. Rock Band has not been played downstairs since you left! We really miss you and all of your buddies too.

You'll have to send us a grocery list of all of your favorite new foods for when you get home. I imagine that you will go into food shock when you go to scout camp in two weeks.

Tell Pia, Lorenz, and their parents we said "hi".

Love,
Dad

Preston,

From a previous post: Here is a link for some software that might help you.

http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/

The program is called senuti (itunes spelled backwards). It will allow you to pull music off your ipod onto another computer.
